"Bala yoga was completely different to any other baby oriented class I've been to. It felt like I was doing something for myself not just Georgia, and I've developed a love of yoga myself from the experience!! I really enjoyed the relaxed time with Georgia each week, perfect in our otherwise crazy busy lives! Georgia sometimes wanted to join in with the yoga, sometimes not - so the space in the room was great so she could choose to join me or play toys with the other children as she pleased. She picked up a lot from the classes though and still likes to join me in some yoga at home :-) Also great to spend time with other mums too."
"I started yoga classes after it was suggested by my doctor to help with a bulging disk in my spine. He said that it would build up core strength and help with flexibility which would hopefully stop the disk moving any more than it already had. I first of all stated with joining a group lesson twice a week. Unfortunately, the space that we were using became unavailable and the twice weekly group stopped for a while. I had felt the benefit even after about 5 weeks of going and really wanted to find another yoga group to join. When Kate contacted us to say that she was starting to do home tutoring I was really pleased. My husband and a couple of friends had also wanted to try yoga but hadn’t been able to join the group I was in because it was women only. They also felt a bit intimidated joining a group of people who had been doing yoga for a while and didn’t want to look stupid in front of a load of strangers. Kate now comes to the house twice a week and myself, my husband, daughter and a couple of friends have been practicing yoga for about 4 weeks now at home. Having been to a class and now having home sessions, I can say that I would recommend starting (and continuing) with home lessons. The pace is set by you and not the rest of a class who may have been doing yoga for a lot longer. We feel like we can stop and ask questions and not be annoying the rest of the group by stopping them in the middle of the session. I would thoroughly recommend at least trying a course of 4 or 5 weeks to see if it helps with flexibility and building up muscle tone. Not to mention shifting a bit of flab! My husband used to struggle putting his socks on in the morning and after just 3 weeks doesn’t even think about bending over to do that. I feel a lot more supple and fitter from the 2 sessions a week and I also feel that my posture has changed a lot for the better. It’s not an exercise class that I dread having to do, like I would feel going to a gym or going for a run. We all actually look forward to it for the feeling of having done some exercise, but also the relaxation and de-stress."

I'm a total novice but find Kate's classes really accessible and enjoyable and i feel a genuine sense of accomplishment at the end of each one. After only a few weeks, I can tell that i'm improving and my flexibility is increasing but I have a long way to go to be as adept as some other memebers of the group! The positive warm atmosphere helps me to believe that I will continue to improve...
I started yoga practice with Kate around (Jan 2017) 6 months ago part of a resolution to lose some weight and get healthy. I had previously done some lunchtime and weekend yoga classes at the gym but this was difficult during work. Being able to have classes at home, after work, really suited me.
In the last 6 months I have lost weight and started to tone up with only one, one-hour practice a week. Kate is an excellent teacher and tailors her practices to the individual's strengths and abilities. She pushes you just hard enough to improve your strength and flexibility, without it becoming repetitive or boring. Having one on one instruction means there's nowhere to hide but Kate's reassuring nature means you never feel bad about yourself if you can't do something, it's all about having a go and trying to improve. Kate's style of flow yoga is a great blend of strength, flexibility and mindfulness.
